In a negotiation process, a deadlock is important as it helps the negotiators to work towards making a deal. The use of it helps the negotiators expect a better outcome and there are suggestions that it should be used as a tool of negotiation. Deadlocks in negotiation help to know what the position of the other side is and as such it could lead to a freeze resulting to the stop of the negotiation process..
